I was born in Austin, Texas on September 17, 1983. I lived there for about 2 or 3 years when I
moved to Germany with my mother and father
because my dad was in the Air Force. While in Germany my brother Jeffrey was
born. Later my parents divorced, but we still lived in Austin. The summer before I
started sixth grade my mother, step-father, brother and myself moved to Round
Rock, Texas, about 20 minutes north of Austin. We’ve lived there ever
since.
I am now back in
Austin attending Concordia
University. I live in a dorm and am having a great time. I took 2 ½ years
off after I graduated high school when I decided to begin my college career.
In that 2 ½ years I was a full-time supervisor at Barnes & Noble. I have
been working there for almost 5 years.
What
Are My Goals?
Now
that I am in college, I hope to accomplish many great things such as,
Become an elementary school teacher.
Get married and start a family.
Serve the Lord.
Why
Concordia?
I
have been driving by Concordia University
for as long as I can remember and have always had an interest. As college got
closer and closer I was bombarded with as many pamphlet and e-mails from
colleges as there are stars in the sky, but one school always stood out. I like Concordia because it is a Christian college.
At this point in my walk with Christ, I need to be surrounded by other
believers. In addition, the campus is beautiful and I’m close enough that I
can go home on the weekends.
